With the global economic outlook uncertain, international crude oil prices fell again.
On August 21, the closing price of WTI crude oil futures fell by 1.69%, the closing price of Brent crude oil futures fell by 1.49%, and the main contract of Shanghai crude oil night trading fell by 2.06%. The main reason for the decline in oil prices was that the US government lowered employment data and the market was pessimistic about the demand outlook.
Although international oil prices continue to fall, China's chemical market has shown amazing resilience.
According to the 132 kinds of chemical products monitored by Jinlianchuang, the prices of 22 kinds increased, the prices of 80 kinds remained stable, and the prices of only 30 kinds fell. Among them, DMC, alkaline methyl acetate, acetic anhydride, methanol and coal tar experienced the most significant increases, ranging from 1.42% to 3.66%.
